The University of Huddersfield in the UK is made up of a diverse community of almost 20,000 people from all walks of life. The School of Arts and Humanities at the University of Huddersfield is one of the UK’s largest and most dynamic creative institutions, offering a wide range of disciplines —art, design, architecture, music, humanities, and filmmaking in an environment of teaching and research excellence. The Centre for Cultural Ecologies in Art, Design & Architecture (CEADA), within the School of Arts and Humanities, provides a space for collaboration, knowledge and cultural exchange between academics, students, creative communities, and cultural organisations.

Each academic year, CEADA introduces a new theme to be collectively curated into a public programme, such as Cultures of Climate, Culture of Creative Health, Culture of Sound, Culture of Place, Creative Health Hud and AHRC: Delivering Heritage. The AHRC-funded Delivering Heritage project seeks to innovate in 3D laser scanning with the aim of navigating the histories, cultures, and futures of post offices in the UK and India and to do this in the contexts of architectural heritage, education, cultural development, and cultural heritage tourism. The Sustainable Living Research Centre, operating within the Area of Strategic Research Importance (ASRI) for Sustainable Environment, explores two core areas: Sustainable Living and Future Mobility. It fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation to tackle real-world sustainability challenges and promote long-term environmental and social resilience.

Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage

The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage [INTACH] was founded in 1984 in New Delhi with the vision to spearhead heritage awareness and conservation in India. Since then, it has pioneered the conservation and preservation of not just our natural and built heritage but intangible heritage as well. Headquartered in New Delhi, it operates through its various divisions such as Architectural Heritage, Natural Heritage, Material Heritage, Intangible Heritage, Heritage Education and Communication Services [HECS], and multiple Chapters.

The Architectural Heritage Division [AHD] at INTACH is dedicated to the promotion and conservation of India’s vast cultural heritage. Since its founding, it has taken on the task of supplementing the work of the Archaeological Survey of India [ASI] by accounting for the thousands of unprotected historic buildings and sites in India, its main thrust being the documentation and conservation of built heritage. It has set standards for conservation work by providing expertise and consultancy, and by implementing conservation projects. The division consists of in-house architects, conservation architects, external consultants and specialists, and looks to a dedicated Advisory Committee for direction and support.

From smart city proposals to riverfronts, cremation grounds, and market streetscapes, the Faculty’s work reflects a strong commitment to inclusive urbanism. University School of Architecture and Planning was established in 2009 as one of the seventeen schools of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. GGSIP University is a NAAC A++ Grade university under the Government of Delhi. The University is ranked 1001-1200 in the QS World University Rankings 2025 and received the "Rising Star" award for the highest improvement among Indian institutions in the 2025 rankings. USAP, as the first school of Architecture under the Government of Delhi, is a much sought-after school with 13th rank in the best architecture schools in India category by India Today and holds 29th rank in the NIRF ranking, 2024.

Besides the Bachelor of Architecture, USAP offers postgraduate programs in Master of Architecture (Urban Design) and Master of Urban and Regional Planning and a Doctoral program in Architecture and Planning. The National Institute of Design, Assam (NID Assam), located in Jorhat, is an Institute of National Importance set up under the NID (Amendment) Act, 2019 under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. The Institute was established to strengthen design education and research in the Northeastern region of the country.

Since 2019, NID Assam has been training young designers through its four-year Bachelor of Design (B. Des) programme specializing in Industrial Design, Communication Design and Textile & Apparel Design. The course begins with a strong Design Foundation Programme, which helps students build creativity, cultural understanding, and basic design skills before moving into their chosen area.

The Institute focuses on learning by doing, taking part in workshops, studio work, and real-life projects. The curriculum draws from the North East’s rich crafts, culture, and environment while also connecting with global design trends. This helps students become designers who are rooted in their region yet ready for the world. NID Assam aims to be a centre for excellence, innovation, and cultural exchange, building connections between design, industry, and society and seeks to make a meaningful contribution to design education, research, and practice in India and beyond.
